About Us
Bella lends a paw in our surgery roomCoral Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1965 and has been an accredited American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) member since 1973. Two of our team members are former Florida Veterinary Technicians of the Year, Shelly Barnhart, C.V.T. - 1997, and Kimm Pontiff, "Practice Manager" - 1999. Our clinic was honored to receive the Best of South West Florida Award for 2004. Our other professional affiliations are the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA), Caloosa Veterinary Association, and the Association of Avian Veterinarians.

CORE VALUES:
The Core Values of our practice spring from our mission of care and service. The doctors and employees should always strive to provide the kindest, most respectful and best care for all our patients. We should also treat our clients and each other with the same care. We should adhere to the golden rule in all our interactions; with patients, clients, and fellow workers. We should always strive to work as a team, and we should never hear the words " it's not my job". We shall strive to always be respectful, honest, tactful, courteous, helpful, and sympathetic. We should be quick to offer help, and slow to offer criticism. We should not be afraid to ask for help or explanations when we don't understand something. We should always project an attitude of caring and respect.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
  1. Our clients are important to us, and we must do everything possible to make sure they are treated with courtesy.
  2. To make our clients feel welcome, we must greet them by name, and let them know we're here to help.
  3. We must provide accurate and helpful advice to clients who need information on pet care.
  4. Our hospital must be kept clean and uncluttered at all times. Clients measure us on the cleanliness of every part of our hospital.
  5. We must attempt to solve all clients' problems so that we retain their goodwill and repeat business.
  6. We must not argue or even debate with our clients. We will never win. We will only lose their support.
  7. We must not speak poorly of our competition but instead speak positively about OUR qualities.
  8. There is always something to do in the clinic, so keep busy. Above all, however, be alert to the needs of our clients.
  9. Strive to learn as much about general pet care so you better help clients with their needs.
  10. Maintain a professional appearance in order to make a positive impression on our clients.
  11. Be courteous and helpful to other staff members and always recognize we operate as a team.

Coral Veterinary Clinic is involved with numerous community Pet Fairs, as well as the Weekly Pet Therapy Program in the pediatric ward at HealthPark Hospital since 2001.
